Two more classes left for my Tuesday classical painting class.  Its that time of year when our winter artist go back up north.  For the next up coming class I will be talking more about value.  And set up still life to practice from.

Art of February

Had a great time seeing wonderful works of Jessie Dilich at the Cultural Park Theater.  Great range from camels to yes her beloved mermaids!  Her show will be there for the month of February.

The opening fro the Portraits and Figure National show is this Thursday the 7thual Art Center Punta Gorda Fl.

Murphy oil/rock demo

Hello and welcome.

Yesterday in class was great alot of people finishing up paintings and in my night class Painting Studio we started Color class and other students were off painting their own paintings!!

Next Tuesday morning class finally I will be doing a demo on rocks!!!!

(and Ill be soaking my shirt in Murphys oil from the oil paint I got on it from last night demo!)

FIRST POST!

Hi,
This is the first post!!  Im looking forward to sharing a part of my favorite places.My art classes on Tuesday!
I have been teaching since 2004 at the Alliance for the Arts. Im going to try to blog once week to keep everyone updated on coming and goings of the class.  And hopefully some Art tips too!  Any suggestions/questions are welcome!

So tomorrow will be doing Class critique around 11:00 am.
Also at 4:00-5:30 Ill be doing TRY IT. which is an sample of what my classes our like.
